**Blue Fang Skeleton Tarantula** — The rarer and more sought-after sibling to E. murinus, distinguished by its stunning iridescent blue chelicerae (fangs). The blue color is most vivid in adults and in juveniles that have recently molted.
Care is identical to E. murinus: deep moist substrate (6-8 inches), high humidity (75-85%), and warm temperatures. Like E. murinus, the urticating hairs are located on the pedipalps rather than the abdomen. A confirmed deep burrower that may completely seal its burrow entrance.
E. cyanognathus is slightly less commonly available than E. murinus but has surpassed it in hobby popularity due to the blue fang coloration. A prize species for keepers interested in fossorial NW spiders.
