Care Guide
One of the very few tarantulas that builds a true trapdoor over its burrow โ a fascinating, if reclusive, display animal. Species-specific data is limited, so this follows the well-established Idiothele genus husbandry (as for its congener I. mira): deep packable substrate it can dig and cap, slightly damp, with a water dish. Reported to be very defensive; no urticating hairs, potent venom, no handling.
