**Sri Lankan Ornamental** — One of the original *Poecilotheria* species in the hobby. Features bold brown and cream banding on the legs with a striking yellow and black underside. **MEDICALLY SIGNIFICANT VENOM** — same risk profile as all *Poecilotheria*: bites cause intense localized pain, muscle cramps, and systemic effects in some individuals. Fast, defensive, and capable of moving across an enclosure faster than most keepers expect. IUCN Vulnerable. Requires tall vertical enclosure with good ventilation and hiding spots. Only for experienced keepers with established containment protocols.
