Care Guide
An East African baboon in the same fast, defensive mold as its famous cousin the OBT (P. murinus). A burrower that lines its retreat with silk to sense vibrations; give it several inches of substrate kept mostly dry with a slightly damp lower layer, a cork hide, and a shallow water dish. Old World: no urticating hairs and potent venom, plus real speed and a willingness to threat-pose and bite. Advanced keepers only, no handling; species-specific data is limited, so care follows the well-documented Pterinochilus genus.
