Care Guide
**Fringed Ornamental Tarantula** — A distinctive Thai fossorial with golden-orange tibiae that contrast with the dark body. Belongs to its own genus separate from Chilobrachys and Cyriopagopus, though care requirements overlap significantly.
⚠️ OLD WORLD SPECIES: No urticating hairs; fast and defensive; Old World venom. For experienced keepers only.
Keep conditions warm and humid, with moist compactable substrate for deep burrowing. Like other Asian fossorials, provide deep substrate and a hide to anchor its burrow. A reliable feeder and medium growth rate. Less commonly kept than Chilobrachys species but increasingly available through captive breeding. An excellent species for keepers wanting to diversify into less mainstream Asian genera.
⚠️ Safety Information

This species does not have urticating hairs (Old World species).
Venom Potency
⚠️ WARNING: This species has medically significant venom. Bites can cause severe pain and systemic effects. Only for experienced keepers. Seek immediate medical attention if bitten.
