Care Guide
**Entre Rios Tarantula** — One of the most extreme slow growers in the tarantula hobby. A large, dark Grammostola from temperate Argentina and southern Brazil, sometimes confused with G. pulchra but distinguishable by range and subtle coloration differences.
CRITICAL CARE NOTE: G. iheringi is a temperate species from a region with cold winters. It requires cooler temperatures (65-75°F) and may need a seasonal cooling period to trigger normal feeding cycles. Temperatures consistently above 80°F can be stressful or even fatal over time.
Growth rate is extraordinary even by Grammostola standards — females may take 10-15 years to mature and can live 30+ years. Fasting for months at a time is completely normal. Advanced rating is primarily due to care patience and temperature management requirements. Temperament is excellent — very docile and rarely hair-kicks.
