Care Guide
**Blue Foot Baboon Tarantula** — A small South African fossorial with the standout feature of vivid metallic blue feet, contrasting with its brown-black body. One of the most unique-looking African tarantulas in the hobby.
⚠️ OLD WORLD SPECIES: No urticating hairs; Old World defensive posture. Treat with appropriate respect.
I. mira prefers cooler temperatures than most tarantulas, reflecting its highland South African range (68-78°F). Do not overheat. Keep dry with a water dish. A slow grower and slow feeder — long fasting periods are normal. Rarely visible outside of its burrow. Becoming more available through captive breeding programs. A truly unique addition for collectors of African species.
