Can be extremely defensive and fast-moving — this species will spin rapidly to kick urticating hairs very effectively. Higher humidity requirements than most New World terrestrials. Requires a large enclosure with deep substrate. Advanced keepers only due to speed and defensive nature. Stunning display specimen when visible, though tends to be a fossorial species that spends significant time in its burrow.
